Welcome to ArtReach!

Who Are We?

ArtReach
is a community based organization that provides opportunity for diverse, creative art experiences.  Our purpose is to encourage individual awareness and growth.

What Do We Do?

ArtReach is a non-profit organization that dedicates itself to helping individuals discover their creative and human potential.

How Are We Changing the Community?

ArtReach has been instrumental in providing services to three groups in the community: children, adults & seniors.  ArtReach helps these groups communicate and build self-esteem through their art.

A Decade of ArtReach

ArtReach was founded  a decade ago by Carol Sweasy.  The objective was to provide an outlet and exposure for local artists that would enable them to create art, to share it with others, and to teach classes.  Central to the goals of ArtReach was the desire to serve the underserved in our community.  ArtReach has offered a rich array of art experiences throughout the years and continues to evolve and
re-focus its mission according to the needs of the community.

We are so fortunate in Red Wing to live in a community that places such high value on the arts.  However, there are increasing segments of our population that don’t have access to artistic opportunities or the resources to pursue them.  Our fundamental mission is to provide this access through our outreach programming at all age levels to serve the disadvantaged and underserved.
ArtReach is the only nonprofit organization whose primary focus is to fill this gap by facilitating exposure to and experience of the arts which leads to a stronger community.

We have a core of committed, professional artists and volunteers that teach classes and facilitate programs designed to enhance and enrich self expression in a safe, relaxed atmosphere.  We continue to offer art experiences at many community events and with increased funding, our goal is to collaborate with other organizations.

“I believe that there is creative potential in most of us that remains untapped, but given the opportunity, materials and leadership to explore and unlock self-expression and to do so in a safe environment will lead to a stronger sense of accomplishment and help to enrich other aspects of our lives.”
