ArtReach of Red Wing believes that creative expression is a fundamental need of all people. Our mission is to provide access to the arts and the enrichment it brings.

A Decade of ArtReach
Ten years ago, Carol Sweasy founded ArtReach. In the beginning, the objective was to provide an outlet and exposure for local artists that enabled them to create art, to share it with others, and to teach classes. Throughout the years, staff and board members have changed but what remains constant has been the desire to provide access to the arts for every member of our community "at all ages and stages of life." ArtReach has offered a rich array of art experiences throughout the years and continues to evolve and respond to the needs of the community.
How are we changing the community?
ArtReach is the only nonprofit organization in Red Wing whose primary focus is to provide art experiences to those with limited access to the arts. We have a core of committed, professional artists and volunteers that teach classes and facilitate programs designed to enhance and enrich self expression in a safe, relaxed atmosphere. We continue to offer art experiences at many community events and to collaborate with other organizations in the community.
How can you help?
ArtReach has received funding in past years from the United Way, the Jones Family Foundation, the Anderson Center, the Sweasy Family Foundation, the Red Wing Area Fund, the Minneapolis Foundation, and other community and individual partners. In 2010, ArtReach was selected as one of the agencies to receive a SteppsUp CCF award and The Southeast Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) awarded ArtReach a grant that supports a collaboration with Remedy in an after school program for at-risk middle school students. Corporate money and grants from private foundations only complete part of our budget. We still need your help. See our Supporters page for additional information.
